Face to face, online and telephone therapy and coaching for porn and sex addictions
(Please note that most PRUK sessions are still being held online due to continuing Covid-19 conditions. We've been working online for more than a decade. While online therapy might be new for you, it is something that we are very experienced, comfortable and enthusiastic in using. We regularly use a number of platforms - including FaceTime, Zoom and WhatsApp. )
Through confidential, one-to-one sessions (face-to-face or online), we will help you to understand your behaviour and guide you to controlling your issues so that you have the best cognitive and emotional control tools available to prevent you relapsing.
PRUK will support your recovery process so that you can gain control of your life and move past the problems you are currently suffering from, such as:
* compulsive Internet porn use
* use of webcams sites
* adult hook-up apps
* use of escorts, prostitution, or
* sexual acting out through affairs.
We are not like many other recovery programmes, the work we do at PRUK is not a one-size-fits-all programme. Your sessions will be unique and focused on helping you discover exactly what you need to do to contain, reduce or stop your using habits altogether. In the Online only REWIND programme our unique daily 'check-in' option will help support you on your recovery journey every single day.
Lead therapist Duncan (author of the book TURNED ON: Intimacy in a pornized society) recognises the difficulties pornography throws up for a wide range of members of society. As an ethical and professional therapist registered and accredited by the BACP, his approach is non-judgemental, non-political and non-faith based. This approach is reflected throughout PRUK's work. (You can also visit Duncan's own therapy sites at therapy-space Cambridge and therapy place online.)
If you have just discovered that someone close to you is using pornography, cybersex or other sexual services it is very common to be feeling one or all of a number of common reactions to your discovery. Click Partners and family members to find out more.

"It took me about six months to realise I hadn't really wanted to stop using. Once I understood that I was able to stop. The daily check-in option became a fantastic help and I no longer use pornography of any sort. I'm now a much happier human being!" Dave, Wiltshire.
"It was truly a sobering experience to realise I had wasted so much of my life in my own porn world. Escaping that has given me my life back." Rick, Bath.
"Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me change my habits. There was a time before I started the REWIND programme that I thought nothing of spending an entire day at the weekend just searching and using porn. I lost more than three years of my life simply searching the Internet! Without you I hate to think what might have happened." Tom, Cambridge.
