Welcome to PRUK (helping with porn addiction and Internet sexual addictions). This website is for people suffering with issues around pornography and cybersex addiction whether as a user, partner, family member or in some other way. It is also a point of information for therapists.

PRUK recognizes the difficulties pornography throws up for members of society, but a conscious decision has been made on this website not to judge pornography, sex or other related activities, or those who use them or feel they are an 'addict'. It does not take a political stance, and is non-Christian and not faith based, since it is hoped that it will appeal to the widest audience possible for a site of this nature. PRUK focuses on the issues and difficulties people have because porn, cybersex and negative sex and sexual issues are surrounding them and creating difficulties.

Please take your time to explore the PRUK site. You will find:
  • information about pornography, cybersex and porn addiction recovery
  • links to the PRUK blog
  • suggestions to help reduce dependency and addiction
  • accounts and extracts from people affected by pornography, sex addiction and cybersex
  • places you can find help, support or advice.

If you are a therapist visiting PRUK you can find out about bespoke training, CPD and seminar talks about working with pornography, cybersex and the Internet from the For Therapists page.

If you are a journalists or member of the media then please click The media contact page

PRUK is run by psychotherapist and supervisor D E Stafford who is author of TURNED ON: Intimacy in a pornized society (THE WiTTING PRESS, 2010).
